Elsewhere in the neighborhood, Pirate’s Cove Park and Pine Creek Playfield stay open year-round and have enough room for any sport or outdoor activity, while the Pine Creek Walking Path provides guidance for a full tour of the area. The Pine Creek neighborhood combines appealing construction with every needed community resource to provide a safe and comfortable place to live.
North of Pine Creek, just across Old Ranch Road, sits the Kettle Creek community, including Bison Ridge and acres of ranch land nearby. The oversized homes of this smaller subdivision offer unbeatable views of the Front Range, Pikes Peak, and Black Forest and provide more than enough space for any family in a location with easy access to the rest of the community.
Shops and services abound across the entirety of Briargate. Along the west edge of the neighborhood, near Briargate Parkway and I-25, sits the Promenade Shops at Briargate. This open-air shopping mall offers the finest specialty retailers, restaurants, and, of course, beautiful Colorado views throughout. Vendors include Apple, Eddie Bauer, and Williams-Sonoma, while California Pizza Kitchen and Ted’s Montana Grill are not available anywhere else in the Springs. The Promenade Shops also maintain an ongoing military discount, a holiday decoration contest, and free outdoor movie showings throughout the summer. Briargate Crossing Shopping Center, just east of Powers Boulevard, hosts even more retail venues to meet every need, including Target, Petco, and Life Time Fitness. Nearby dining options include the excellent Sushi Rakkyo, farm-fresh Till Kitchen, and gourmet-style Carlos Miguel’s Mexican Bar and Grill. The Chapel Hills Mall and surrounding shopping area complete the list, including shopping, a movie theater, and even some semi-exclusive local cuisine at Drifter’s Hamburgers. Memorial Hospital North and St. Francis Medical Center are both a quick drive from any part of Briargate, and out-of-town guests can stay at one of the many nearby hotels. All of the amenities of the whole city can be quickly accessed through Powers Boulevard, Academy Boulevard, or I-25.
Briargate also offers every needed municipal service all within a short distance of any neighborhood street. The Pikes Peak Library District operates Library 21c on Chapel Hills Drive, while East Library is located just minutes south. Cottonwood Creek Park, located at the corner of Dublin Boulevard and Rangewood Drive, includes a playground, several sports fields, a disc golf course, and an indoor YMCA recreation center with a pool. Academy School District 20 serves all ages of students in the community in both traditional and online classrooms, and remains the highest achieving large school district in Colorado.
